2011bestwestteaserKings travel to Long Beach for the “2011 Best in the West Tournament”
On February 11, 12, 13, the Albuquerque Kings travel to Long Beach California to compete against 6 other teams, 5 currently ranked. The Kings will start the tournament by playing #2 in the nation UofA. Also in attendance is #5 Utah, #11 Rancho, #13 Phoenix, #14 LA Clippers and the unranked LA Lakers. The Albuquerque Kings are also unranked but are close with an honorable mention back in Decembers standings.

This weekend will really help us if we can pull off some upsets. We have to be ranked in order to be invited to the Championship tournament in April which will be hosted in Denver, CO. We hope to show up playing our best and represent the Duke City well.

19texastournThe Kings will participate in the Texas International Shootout in September. We will compete against several NWBA teams from around the nation and many teams from around the world. (roster has yet to be announced).

We need all the support we can get. If you are interested in Sponsoring the Kings contact us as soon as possible. We can accommodate corporate sponsorship on our jerseys and wheelchairs including website exposure.

Last year the Kings took a 18-20 hour drive to Houston in order to participate. We held fundraisers around town including at the Albuquerque Summerfest and had raffles in front of various Walmarts around the city. We appreciate all the community support which made the trip possible last year. This year we hope to be able to fly down as the drive alone can be wearing when you’re competing against the best in the nation.
