#3 Kings Heading to Nationals

KingsbadgeSmThe #3 ranked Albuquerque Kings will be heading to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Co to compete in the NWBA National Championships from March 22-25. 16 teams where chosen and the brackets have been set. #3 Albuquerque Kings will face the #14 L.A. Clippers in the first round of action. We’ll keep all our fans and supporters up to date via Twitter and Facebook.

Kings go 4-0!

Your Albuquerque Kings go 4-0 in Phoenix Arizona at the 13th Annual Suns Roundup Tournament. The Kings started strong by beating the New York Knicks 60-41. Game two of the tournament was against UofA. It was a close game but pulled away at the end to win 61-50. The 3rd game of the day came against Las Vegas. The Kings took the victory 74-56, sealing a shot to play for first place in the tournament the next day. The Kings end up playing against the #4 team in the nation, Golden State. It was a close game but the Kings pulled through with a 68-63 win.

March 2nd the Kings go to Las Vegas for the last regular season tournament before nationals. Las Vegas may prove to be the toughest tournament of the year with many of the best teams in the nation showing up.

The Albuquerque Kings finished 15th in the nation after their first appearance at Nationals. The NWBA hosted the 2011 NWBA Tournament in Denver Colorado. There was nearly 100 teams in over 3 locations, with ruffly 6-8 teams playing at any given moment. The first place game was between the Dallas Mavericks and Orlando Magic. You’re invited! Duke City Classic 2011

dukeCityClassicCome root for your home team at the 2nd Annual Duke City Classic! 
The Albuquerque Kings will be hosting the 2nd Annual Duke City Classic Wheelchair Basketball tournament on February 26th and 27th, 2011.

Teams from Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico are set to play in a wheelchair basketball tournament long overdue. Located directly between states that hold one or more wheelchair basketball teams, New Mexico, via I-25 and I-40 is centrally located, great for a Southwest tournament.

This event is completely free and open to the public. Come out and experience this high speed, intense sporting event. T-shirts and concessions will all be on sale and local business and groups will have booths for you to visit.

The tournament will be held at the Albuquerque Job Corps Gym. Special thanks to Job Corps for providing the gym space the whole weekend to make the tournament possible! Games will be played from 9am to 8pm on Saturday and 8am to 1pm on Sunday. The event name is 2011 GO Unlimited Duke City Classic.
